Bursaries -- Scholarships -- Awards

The NBCC Foundation Inc. offers bursaries, scholarships and awards to students attending the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) and the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB).

The applicant must be admitted on a full-time basis at one of the public colleges: NBCC, CCNB or NBCCD.

The regular or contract training program must be of at least one (1) year in duration.

And finally, the applicant must demonstrated a financial need.

 

Deadline

All applicants must submit a single duly completed application, between mid-September and no later than October 15th, to the Student Services of the campus where they are admitted.

Note: If October 15 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, your application form is due the next business day.

Q: Is a permanent resident eligible to apply?

A: Yes, a permanent resident is eligible if he or she possesses an equivalency of a New Brunswick high school diploma. 

 

Q: Is a Canadian citizen from a different territory or province than New Brunswick eligible?

A: Yes, a Canadian citizen from a different territory or province is eligible. 

 

Q: Can international students apply for these scholarships or bursaries?

A: Yes, international students are eligible.

 

Selection Process:

All applicants must submit a single duly completed application form.

 

By October 15: Students shall submit their application to their attending campus.
  Note: Applications received after this date will not be considered.
By November 7: Each college will assess their applications.
By November 15: Each college forwards their campus top applicants' documentation to the Manager of Administration and Awards per the Operational Rules.
November-December: Period where the Foundation Selection Committee reviews the applications for final selection.
In December: The Manager of Administration and Awards will notify the College Representative with the names of the recipients.
In December: The College Representative will then notify the student of the award.
In January: The bursary cheque will be issued to the order of the student and forwarded to the College Representative.
