Disbursement Student Guide
NBCC (New Brunswick Community College)
If selected, how will you receive your bursary?
1- Have you completely paid your tuition fees for the year?
No. Most likely, your bursary will be added in your college student account against your tuition fees. You can verify your balance thru Student Services.
|
Yes. Tentatively, starting in September 2024, once all your tuition fees are paid you will receive your bursary via Interac e-transfer email. (Instead of a paper cheque).
|
2- You need the following, to receive your Interac e-transfer email bursary:
a) A Canadian bank account that offers the Interac e-transfer features to accept the money.
See list at the bottom HERE.
b) A personal email address that is NOT your student email. (NOT @mynbcc.ca).
Use this email address when filling your bursary application.
WARNING If the email address provided is incorrect and a person other than the beneficiary collects the bursary, the Foundation cannot be held responsible for replacing it.
This is why it is so important to fill in the forms correctly.
|
3- Steps to receive your Interac e-transfer email bursary:
1) NBCC might ask you to confirm your email via an electronic form sent to you. If not it means you already did that step when you applied for the bursary in question.
2) NBCC will notify you that you will be receiving a bursary from The NBCC Foundation via email and give you the security question and answer.
IMPORTANT to prevent FRAUD
- NEVER accept an Interac e transfer from ‘The Foundation’ without first having been notified by NBCC.
- NEVER accept an Interac e transfer from ‘The Foundation’ via text message. The Foundation ONLY uses email.
4-Accept the money transfer following the instruction in the Interac email and your bank's process.
