Michel Theriault (2007-2011)
Presently the Assistant Deputy Minister for Fisheries, Michel Thériault was the Assistant Deputy Minister and CEO of the New Brunswick Community College from August 2001 to November 2007. During the three years prior to that, he was Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Community & Correctional Services with the Department of Public Safety. Between 1995 and 1998, he was with the Employment Division of the Department of Advanced Education and Labour. From 1986 through 1995, he worked in Caraquet and in Fredericton for the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Before entering the New Brunswick Public Service, he had worked for various organizations in the Acadian Peninsula for a period of 8 years.
He holds a Master's Degree in Economics as well as a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Université de Moncton. He also has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from University of Ottawa.
