Camila Vásquez is the Student Services Manager at the College, overseeing the college journey of NBCCD learners from their first inquiry to graduation.
Camila’s leadership in student services provides a holistic approach to the student lifecycle from inquiring prospective student to engaged current student to happy alum. Leading her team collaboratively to support student success is important to Camila’s work in developing empowered learners toward sustainable, creative careers. The departments under Student Services include admissions, marketing, communications, recruitment, the registrar’s office, counselling, accessibility, student life, and library services.
Originally from Lima, Peru, Camila first came to Canada as an international student. She fell in love with Atlantic Canada and after completing a Master of Arts degree in philosophy, she returned to Fredericton to begin a career in post-secondary education. Camila’s professional experience includes student services leadership; Canadian and international recruitment, admissions, and affairs; partner and client management; policy development; and strategic enrolment management.
Fun fact: Camila is a classically trained dancer who teaches and choreographs outside her work at the college!
