For the Guidance Office and Counsellors
The Foundation has gone digital!
Since 2023, for the New Brunswick Public Colleges Entrance Scholarship (F-0156), we require that your chosen bursary recipients’ application be submitted via our online platform.
What does this mean for you?
Each high school now has the choice whether to still accept students' paper applications. Please note that if your top 3 chosen bursary recipients have submitted a paper application, you will be responsible for submitting the electronic version of that form to the Foundation via the online platform. This is to reduce the number of inaccuracies that handwritten applications have/may cause.
You will be able to use the provided login information to retrieve the student’s online application for your usual selection process. That login information remains active every year.
The link, login and step by step instructions, will be sent to you by email. If you are a new Guidance Counsellor, please send us your email specifying your high school, as soon as possible, to be included in the emailing list. You may also send a request to nbccFoundation@ccnb.ca
Please Note: You are still responsible for notifying the NBCC Foundation of your top 3 chosen students for the bursary, no later than JUNE 3. |
REMEMBER: TOP 3 for June 3 |
IMPORTANT: If we do not receive your top 3 choices of bursary recipients by the deadline date, the bursary will be allocated to another high school by random draw. Please be aware that we do not have the resources to personally check-in with every school for your candidates. We use the emailing list to send reminders and instructions, but it remains YOUR responsibility to communicate your top three candidates to us via email.
*For the high schools NOT submitting any recipients this year, it would be greatly appreciated if you could let us know and specify why. (Example: No students applied this year; no students qualified, etc.) This would help us in the process.
What does this mean for your students?
They can now follow the link on our website to fill out the application form online. The application period starts in spring. It is also suggested that they notify you of their application.
*If you decide to still accept the paper forms, nothing changes for them, however, you are responsible for submitting the electronic version of that form on the new platform.
Your first-choice bursary recipient will receive the official confirmation letter at graduation. The Foundation will mail that letter to the Guidance Office (Guidance Counsellors) for that purpose before your high school’s graduation ceremony. To that effect, please notify us of that date once it is determined to ensure the letter arrives on time for the celebration.
IMPORTANT: The confirmation that this bursary will be available for the high school students graduating in 2024, will only be known in May 2024. In the hopes that it will be available once again, we do suggest that you still fill out the application.
