Pierre Zundel

President and Chief Executive Officer

Pierre Zundel is the President and CEO of the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, the French community college in the province of New Brunswick with five campuses across the Province. He took office on September 3, 2019.

From 2017 to June 2019, he was Interim President and Vice-Chancellor at Laurentian University, a comprehensive university with 9,000 students housed in Sudbury, Ontario. Prior to his nomination as Interim President, Dr. Zundel served as Laurentian’s Vice-President Academic and Provost from July 2016 to August 2017.

From 2009-2016, Dr. Zundel was President of the University of Sudbury, a bilingual, tri-cultural institution in the Jesuit tradition federated with Laurentian University.

He was also the founder and dean of Renaissance College, University of New Brunswick from January 2004 until July 2009.

With degrees in forestry from the universities of Toronto (Bachelor and Master's) and Laval (Doctoral), he has taught in this area at the Universtié de Moncton, Edmundston campus and UNB.
