Mélanie Gallagher (2007-2014)

She is a graduate from the New Brunswick Community College. After completing her high school studies at Mathieu-Martin high school in 2002, she enrolled at CCNB-Dieppe campus where she obtained her first diploma in Techniques de conseils de voyages in June 2003. After a few months, she decided to peruse her studies at NBCC-Moncton campus in the Business Administration Marketing program and obtain her second diploma in the month of June 2005.

All along her studies, Mélanie distinguished herself with her superior scholastic achievements and her involvement in the student union at the campuses she attended. Mélanie started as a department representative for the student union at CCNB-Dieppe campus; she was elected Vice-President and the following year was elected President of the student union at NBCC-Moncton campus. She was also involved in many committees during her stay at both campuses. In 2004-2005, she also occupied the position of Vice-President for the NBCC (network) student association.

Her contribution to the student life was recognized by The Ron Smyth Memorial Scholarship for outstanding community leadership. She was also named valedictorian for the graduation class of 2005.

In the spring of 2005, Mélanie started her working lif at the Delta Beauséjour and, since 2006; she has pursued her career within the government of New Brunswick. Recently, she was appointed Project Officer for the Wage Gap Reduction Initiative with the Women's Issues Branch at the Executive Council Office.
